We are located at 6539 Santa Monica Blvd in Hollywood, CA. We are four blocks East of Highland Ave and five blocks West of Vine. We are on the North side of Santa Monica Blvd at the corner of Hudson Ave. at the gateway to Theatre Row Hollywood.
If you are attending a show, there is valet parking available on Hudson Ave. During non-performance times, there is street parking only.
The Hudson stages are all intimate spaces, so seating is general seating only with no assigned seats.

The theatre office opens at 2pm every day. The office number is (323) 856-4252. The best time to reach theatre staff and/or set up an appointment to see the theatres is between 2-6pm Monday-Saturday. After 6pm and during the day on Sundays, the staff is at the theatre but less available for appointments because they are needed to help manage the performances. Performances are typically at 8pm Monday-Saturdays and at 3pm and 7pm on Sundays.
You can call and set up an appointment to tour the theatres. There is staff in the office every day after 2pm. Typically tours are scheduled between 2-6pm. On site management staff, fully equipped theatres in all technical aspects (lights, sound, etc.), valet/secured parking, and our espresso bar/art gallery for before and after your show. Additionally, many of the services that Plays411 offers are either included or discounted for Hudson Theatre shows.
Yes. The venue requires a general liability insurance policy. Affordable production insurance can be purchased through Plays411. You can get a quote on their web site at www.plays411.com.
Hudson front of house staff is mandatory for every production. The Hudson will provide and schedule the staff for your show. For some productions Hudson tech staff may be required. Additionally, all shows are required to use Plays411 as their primary ticket agency.
We have a beautiful lit marquee on the front of the building. Additionally, we have poster display cases on the exterior and interior of the building.
Once in a while, the Hudson will co-produce depending on the material, its perceived potential and the theatre’s schedule. A co-production arrangement will usually involve a reduction in the rental cost of a theatre in exchange for a percentage of the box office revenue
Most of the shows at the Hudson are independently produced. Casting notices are typically posted 10-12 weeks before a show opens on the usual casting sites such as LA Casting, Now Casting and Breakdown Services. We do not have an in-house casting department. Please do not submit audition materials directly to the theatre.
